Summer 2014

Hear ye! Hear ye!

Capitol Shakespeare is thrilled to announce “Macbeth” as our Summer 2014 production.

Performances will be held July 23-27, 2014 at 6:30 PM.

Auditions will be held in May. Dates and times TBA.

The Tempest

Free performances of “The Tempest” will run at 6:30 in the evening July 24 through the 28, 2012.

This year’s production will be guest directed by Dr. Ian Borden of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He brings his extensive training and experience with Shakespeare’s works to Bismarck. He describes “The Tempest” as “the beauty and magic of love come to the stage.”

Children’s Renaissance Faire

In addition to our free crafts, games, demonstrations, and performances, the Children’s Renaissance Faire is adding a special event!

Hear ye! Hear ye!
By Royal decree, thy Queen’s High Lord Chancellor announces a select opportunity to broaden Her Majesty’s Royal Court!
Eligible lads and lasses make ready thyself for presentation to thy Queen at 4 of the clock on the 27th day of July at the Royal Capitol Grounds.
Direction in song, dance and graces will be provided prior to presentation before thy Majesty followed by Merriment and Delightful Delicacies!
Make ready a Gift of Ten Gold coin to guarantee thy invitation with Haste!
Only a select few shall be of the Lords and Ladies of thy Queen’s Court.

Not from from 15th Century England? Come dress up in fun costumes and become a part of the Queen’s Court. Learn a dance and song from the era, have treats with the Queen and receive some really fun and unique prizes!
Cost of the ticket is $10.00.  Space is limited.  Tickets will be available at the Children’s Renaissance Faire information booth.  Limited to children ages 12 and under. Each child must be accompanied by a responsible person age 13 or older to act as the child’s royal attendant.
