Attention all jugglers, tumblers, and artists! We are currently seeking volunteers/demonstrators to join us at the 2011 Children’s Renaissance Faire. If you make a unique, medieval-style item, have a talent appropriate to the era that you are willing to show off, or just have a Renaissance costume in the closet that you are dying to find a place to wear, we would be most interested in hearing from you. Capitol Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet, performances are set for July 20-24th starting at 6:30 p.m. on the capitol grounds. Please join us for Children’s Renaissance Fair on Saturday, July 23rd from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. We will have a variety of vendors including food and drinks.

Shakespeare in the Classroom is a program developed through Capitol Shakespeare to bring Shakespeare to a larger audience and help break the stigma that “Shakespeare is too hard to read.” (more…)
