Auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

Auditions are May 24th through the 26th 6-9pm each night at Sidney J Lee Auditorium on the campus of Bismarck State College.

We are looking for 20-25 actors/actresses. Must be 17+ years old to audition. Please prepare a monologue or a sonnet to perform for auditions. There will be scenes for you to read at the auditions as well.

There will be a movement section at Audtions to help with the casting of all of the highly physical fairy roles. Please dress comfortably for this section. Don’t worry it will be very easy and fun!

Fairy Costume Contest!

Come one and all! Young and old! Discover your inner fairy!

For our fifth annual Children’s Renaissance Faire we will be holding a fairy costume contest. All are welcome to indulge their creative side and dress to impress.

The Faire begins at 2:00 on Saturday, July 21. We accept entries of all ages, and each age category will have a winner!

5 and under, 6-12, 13-18, 18 and up!

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

For our fifth anniversary we will be presenting William Shakespeare’s comedic romp, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Performances will be held at 6:30 in the evening July 18 through the 22.

The Children’s Renaissance Faire will begin at 2:00 on Saturday, July 21, and lead into that evening’s performance. Get creative and participate in our fairy costume contest!

Auditions for A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be held May 24 – 27 from 6:00-9:00 at the Sydney J. Lee Auditorium on the campus of Bismarck State College.

Attention All Jugglers…

Attention all jugglers, tumblers, and artists!  We are currently seeking volunteers/demonstrators to join us at the 2011 Children’s Renaissance Faire.  If you make a unique, medieval-style item, have a talent appropriate to the era that you are willing to show off, or just have a Renaissance costume in the closet that you are dying to find a place to wear, we would be most interested in hearing from you.  (more…)
